Filter Digital - Tribal Values
Motivation Posters for Filter Digital. What inspires you to be creative today?
Filter Digital approached me about helping them communicate their Tribal Values in a fun and witty way. I started sketching ideas and had to exercised the old noodle to figure out how to interpret "Celebrate Contribution.", "Love. Yes love." and more. With concepts meant to motivate I wondered "How far 'out there' could I go and not just motivate creatives, but inspire them?" I didn't want to leave the viewer scratching their heads with my crazy ideas.
Humor, I think, is the best way to inspire creativity. Many designers have taken the common motivational poster and added cute quotes. At first I made a few designs that were nice, but static. These posters needed to be more playful and full of creative action.
When I was looking for inspiration I was drawn to the Propaganda posters of WW2. These war posters contain serious messages with very simple and pretty weird concepts. I thought if I could add a fun twist to them I could accomplish my goal of getting a little chuckle and inspire Filter's creatives to do their best work.
