Clinton & Trump Election.

The US Presidential election was a circus and no one came out of it unscathed. We were hired by Illozoo to make a few candidate portraits for the Italian news source Corrie Della Sera.

Illozoo, the illustration agency, hired Schlitz to make some presidential candidate portraits for the Italian newspaper Corriere Della Sera. This was of course before the election was decided.

(Calamity) Jon Morris, an incredible character artist, was the right fit so I hired him to sketch out the characters and interpret their most popular aka un-popular views and most talked about newsworthy characteristics. We explored each candidate's character flaws and framed them into portraits.

With the success of these first 2 illustrations we were asked to make 2 more. The idea of each candidate riding their party's mascots in a rodeo setting.

In the end, the days following the election, our illustrations were combined with infographics by the client.

Enjoy!
Final art as seen in print.
Jon Morris nailed the characters with unique character style.
Thanks for the look!
