Honda Classic Drive to Win 8 Bit Game
The Honda Classic "Drive to Win" classic arcade game features 8 bit style and precision golf skills.
The good folks at Pixel Labs invited me to jump into a quick project for Honda. RPA Advertising was developing an 8 bit style game for the Honda Classic in Florida.
I grabbed a buddy of mine (Tony Peterson) to help assist me in making these graphics and animations. In a short time we dove in deep with 8bit graphic video game art and rocked out to our favorite 80's hits. Duran Duran, Phil Collins anyone?
We created illustrations in Illustrator and Aesprite. I also made 4 videos in After Effects.

We used an 8 bit art program called Aesprite to create the animations and sprite sheets. You can see the animations and sprite sheets below.

We were not involed in the sharing of this project, but from research on Facebook, Twitter, etc. it seemed to be a sucessfull campaign according to the many shares and reposts from Honda Dealerships and Honda followers.
- Video Storyboards -
We worked with a scrip provided by RPA and make quick storyboard for the game and videos. I used to work on storyboard swith pencil and paper, but this time working in Illustrator was a much quicker process to prototype the entire story and experience.
